Happy Fri-Yay!! I’m excited about the weekend and the concluding part of the story we began last week. If the suspense was too much for you, I apologise, it was done with good intentions.😊 And if you missed the first part of the story, “express don leave you commot since o!” PLEASE catch up with us Here.
As an aside, let me just mention that I’m here writing at past 5am (when i just went to bed by 2am) because some unrepentant mosquitoes that have vehemently refused to surrender to Christ, wont let me sleep.
Now back to our story…
As it dawned on me that I was in a sleek Benz with three grown men in an area that’s well known to be the residence of a number of yahoo brothers, my mind began to run through a number of possibilities;
Possibility A. There’s a calabash under the seat already trying to zapp my glory.
Possibility B. I’d get to the point where I want to drop and they would say, “babes we are sorry but you have entered one chance!
Possibility C.I’m just over-exaggerating and all would be well.
I looked at my sister and we exchanged a nervous laugh, obviously she had caught the direction of my thoughts and she confidently said “it’s because of you I entered o” see responsibility, I could not blame her, I’m older and supposedly the spirikoko of the house, she was banking on my coverage, so my reply to her was simple “babes they can not use our destiny for anything joor, we are Children of God”. Haha, confidence that I didn’t exactly feel at the time, but it’s simply what I know to be true so I did not even bother praying or speaking in tounges, no need some things are just settled…
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3 NKJV
So anyone that wants to tap my destiny would have to enter Christ and then pull it out. Who has that kind of mind?
Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.
Proverbs 3:25-26 NKJV
These are just two out of many scriptures that assure me that I am well taken care of. So I was giving myself pep talk and anticipating when I could alight.Glory to God possibility ‘C’ played out. I came out without being harassed for my underwear. Hurdle 1- Crossed!
Hurdle 2- My mind: for the rest of that day and days later the thought kept jumping into my mind, “they didn’t harrass you, but what if there was a calabash under that seat?” and I’d be anxious for a while but I’d remember God’s word and my confidence would return. It went on for some days till I came across more scriptures consecutively (while just reading through the word) that assured me again of how properly gaurded the fortress around my life is. So you see, The doubts had to die a natural death, because where the word of God is, fear, doubts and every lie of satan just can’t stay.
My experience just awakened me to these…
Dear Christian (myself included), you cannot afford to be lukewarm, Nooooooo. My experience was probably anxiety over nothing (or maybe not), but sincerly, there are a number of fearful things going on in the world today and things are going to get worse, so if you do not KNOW your God, you would live in fear, Satan would dribble you, toy with you and mock you till you loose faith completely.
With smooth words [of flattery and praise] he will turn to godlessness those who [are willing to] disregard the [Mosaic] covenant, but the people who [are spiritually mature and] know their God will display strength and take action [to resist].
DANIEL 11:32 AMP (emphasis mine)
We can’t keep doing Sunday-Sunday Christianity, No! We can’t keep feeding on just what our pastor’s preach, No, No! We can’t keep keeping God as plan B, No, No No! We have got to wake up. Study scripture, prayyyyy, fellowship with brethren, know God for yourself, so that when adversity comes you won’t run in fear, you would stand in confidence.
The beautiful thing about choosing Jesus is the 100% assurance of deliverance every single time we need it. We need to come alive in Christ not just for our own deliverance but for the world of people out there that desperately need a saviour. Our lives must preach. If you don’t know Christ yet, every second counts, don’t keep Him waiting much longer, His arms are wide open just waiting to accept you and give you a tight hug that says welcome to this family!!!!
He is waiting for you.
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
II Peter 3:9 NKJV
I entered Benz (calabash or no calabash), I came out (my undies intact), I battled fear, but in the end, “We (God’s elect) always win!”
